Math 211-02, Linear Algebra, Fall 2009

Instructor: Vladimir Bolotnikov

Course Description

    Textbook: David C. Lay, "Linear Algebra and its Applications",

    Material to be covered: Sections 1.1 through 6.5, skipping Sections
    1.6, 1.10, 2.4 - 2.7, 4.8, 4.9, 5.5 - 5.8

    Grading: The mid-term exam (tentatively on Thursday 10/8) is worth 50 points,
              the final (12/11, 2:00-5:00 p.m. in Jones 301) is worth
              100 points, each quiz is worth 10 point (but only the best
              five quiz scores will be taken into account),
              so the maximal possible score is 200 points.

 There will be NO CURVING. There will be NO MAKE-UP exams or quizzes.

Grade computation:  A >= 93 % > A- >= 90 % > B+ >= 87 % > B >= 83 % > B- >= 80 % > C+ >= 77 %
                    > C >= 73 % > C- >= 70 % > D+ >= 67 % > D >= 63 % >=D-=60% > F.
