Course description:

Instructors and invited speaker will present different topics of computational mathematics arising from subjects such as numerical linear algebra, quantum computing, optimization, dynamical systems, and mathematical biology. Students will participate in the discusion in class and do on line discussion on the blackboard site after class.

Students interested in the topics may consider doing honors projects and undergraduate research supported by CSUMS, Charles Center, etc.

Final grade will be based on (tentative):

     Class attendence                                       25%
     Class participation                                    25%
     Discussion on blackboard                               25%
     Class project/homework                                 25%
