Michael W. Trosset
Before moving to Williamsburg, I was Associate Programmer for the Arizona Media Arts Center, a nonprofit media arts center in Tucson, AZ. The Center operates a small theater, The Screening Room, and hosts the Arizona International Film Festival. I was extensively involved in programming thematic film series and writing program notes about individual films. I also taught community education film courses and occasionally lectured on various cinematic topics.
I am especially interested in studies of film history and genre. Examples of my writing include the following:
Ten Important European Cinemas
Applause (1929)
(Program Notes)
I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang
(1932)
(Lecture Notes)
Queen Christina (1932)
(Program Notes)
