This course is an introduction to basic concepts and procedures of probability and statistics. It includes experiment and survey design, histograms, scatter diagrams, regression, use of the normal, Student-t, and chi-squared distributions, probability methods and hypothesis testing. The emphasis is on understanding statistical methods and formulas as applied to data analysis.
